Partnership Management is middleware built around Topcon Master Data. It provides an API that allows for Creating, Retrieving, Updating, and Deleting (CRUD) Business Partners and the Support Agreement relationships between them. The following diagram illustrates the relationship between Partnership Management, Master Data, and CIAM.
The Partnership Management API exists to decouple the My Topcon self-service dashboard and API users from the Master Data system.
Key Point: The Partnership Management API provides endpoints that allow Direct Customers (Dealers) to create Indirect Customers (End-Consumers), and enables End-Consumers to manage their relationships with Dealers.
The Partnership Management API creates the Support Agreement contracts between dealers and customers in the Master Data system.
It is essential for Dealers to create their Customers (Indirect Customers) through Partnership Management, as these Indirect Customers generate data within Topcon Web Services, which must be segregated for privacy and security. This segregation also enables Topcon to deliver a positive end-user experience for both Dealers and Customers, providing self-service options for typical device workflows such as software licensing, entitlement, and software updates.
