PingOne is Ping Identity’s cloud-based Identity-as-a-Service (IDaaS) platform designed to simplify and secure identity and access management (IAM) across customer, workforce, and B2B use cases. It provides things like SSO, MFA, Access Management, Federated Identity Management using SAML and OAuth, and Identity Governance (user provisioning, password management, etc).

What role does PingOne play compared to PingFederate?

PingFederateQA: https://admin.us.qa.auth.topcon.com/

PingFederate is an enterprise-grade federation server developed by Ping Identity that enables secure user authentication and standards-based single sign-on (SSO) across diverse applications, platforms, and identity providers.

PingFederate acts as a global authentication authority, allowing employees, customers, and partners to securely access applications from any device. It supports both inbound and outbound SSO, meaning it can authenticate users from external identity providers or allow internal users to access external services.

Use Cases:
Workforce IAM: Simplifies employee access to internal tools.
Customer IAM (CIAM): Provides frictionless login experiences for end-users.
Partner Access: Enables secure collaboration across organizational boundaries.

PingFederate is deployed and managed via the CIAM code base.

PingOne DaVinciN/A

Da Vinci Forms are a feature within PingOne DaVinci, Ping Identity’s no-code identity orchestration platform. These forms allow you to create custom user interfaces that can be embedded directly into identity flows, enabling seamless and branded user interactions.

Da Vinci Forms are customizable HTML forms that you build within the PingOne platform and use in DaVinci flows. These forms can be used for:

  • User registration
  • Login
  • Multi-factor authentication
  • Profile updates
  • Consent collection
  • Custom data input

In DaVinci, a flow is a visual representation of a user journey through an identity process (e.g., authentication, registration). Each flow consists of nodes connected by logic operators. Da Vinci Forms are typically used in nodes that present pages to users, allowing you to collect input or display information as part of the flow

DaVinci forms are currently being used but are being deprecated in favor of custom forms/pages in CSSD. Those pages are not yet build.
